$482 in Cash Stolen from Pet Supply Shop

Pawprint Market has been missing a bag containing $482 since Saturday, Feb. 11. Almost as much was stolen on Thursday from the wallet a man left in an unlocked locker at the Darien YMCA.

A bag containing $482 in cash was reported stolen on Saturday, Feb. 11, from Pawprint Market at 1324 Post Rd., then reported as missing on Monday, Feb. 13.

The store owner told Darien police that the bag was discovered as missing soon after 11 a.m., when the store had become busy with customers.

The bag had been in an office on the same story as the customer floor. There is no door to the office or surveillance cameras in the business.

$450 stolen from a wallet in an unlocked locker

A Stamford man told Darien police that when he went in the locker room at the Darien YMCA to change at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, he left his wallet in a jacket he put in an unlocked locker.

He returned at 6:45 p.m., put his jacket and clothes back on and left. Shortly afterward he was about to pay for an item at a supermarket when he noticed the cash missing from his wallet.
