Bicycle Stolen at Darien Railroad Station

Locking a bicycle to a bicycle rack at the train station didn't help, this time.

A $600 bicycle was reported stolen from where it was parked July 16 at the .

The owner told police that the bicycle was left at the rack on the westbound side of the station (the north side, closer to Tilley Pond Park). The bike was locked with a cable and combination lock at 6:45 a.m. that day, a Monday.

When the owner returned at 7:50 p.m., he told , the bicycle was gone.

The Trek 7000 bicycle is valued at $600. A black Bell bicycle helmet, valued at $20, was also taken.
