Are You Smarter Than A Middle Schooler?

Middlesex Middle School is hosting its own quiz bowl tournament, the second annual Charter Oak Scholastic Open, this Sunday, Jan. 27.

Are you smarter than a middle school student?  Now is your time to find out!  Middlesex Middle School is hosting its own quiz bowl tournament, the second annual Charter Oak Scholastic Open, this Sunday, Jan. 27.

Fourteen Quiz bowl teams from eight schools from three states are set to compete on a variety of questions that range over the entire spectrum of middle school curriculum, as well as, special events, sports, and popular culture.  The teams compete in matches that incorporate individual knowledge and team collaboration.

The Middlesex Quiz Bowl teams have recently had incredible success in regional and international tournaments.  A team from Middlesex advanced to the National Quiz Bowl competition in Washington, DC last year and this year’s 8th grade team placed fourth in the world and first in Connecticut at the Fall/Winter Knowledge Master Open last December.
