Darien High School Crew Rows For Scholarships

Darien High School athletes on the Norwalk River Rowing racing team rowed 10,000 meters each to raise money for scholarships on Saturday, September 21st, at the Darien Sport Shop.   All the money raised in their "ergathon" went to the Matthew Zucker Memorial Fund, named after a high school rower on NRR's racing team who tragically died of brain cancer, which provides scholarships to the club's youth rowing programs.  Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Matthew Zucker Memorial Fund can do so at www.norwalkriverrowing.org.   Pictured here before the rain started (from the Right) : DHS senior Taylor Stauffer, DHS sophomore Charlie Cragin (standing), Kaare Anderson (standing), Manuela Artia, DHS sophomore Emma Bartone, DHS sophomore Savannah Chaput, and Samantha Shulman.
