116 Purple Ribbons

The 116 purple ribbons seen on Darien lampposts and trees represent the 116 domestic abuse calls received by the Darien Police Department over the past year. The ribbons and attached cards were hung by members of the Darien Domestic Abuse Partnership.  The ribbons serve as a reminder that there is help for those personally affected and those who know someone who is affected by relationship abuse.  The Domestic Violence Crisis Center has many confidential services and a 24-hour hotline  1-888-774-2900
