Darien Seniors toured Holiday Lights

Darien Seniors Toured
the Holiday Lights

Darien, Connecticut – December 28, 2012 – In the holiday
spirit, Aging in Place+Gallivant organized a special outing for seniors to view
holiday lights and afterwards to enjoy coffee and dessert at a local diner.

The highlight of the evening was a visit to the waterfront

home of billionaire hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones in the Belle Haven
section of Greenwich.  His annual
Christmas spectacular light show featured thousands of synchronized lights and
music.  The Gallivant handicap accessible
van, and sedan, allowed Darien seniors to join hundreds of other visitors who
drove up in vehicles and tuned into a local radio station to watch the show
play along with the music.

“The evening was very rewarding to the seniors who might not
otherwise have had the opportunity to view holiday lights” noted Gina Blum,
Executive Director of Aging in Place+Gallivant. “It was a delightful event and
we plan to offer additional outings with transportation so that Darien seniors
can connect with one another and continue to be independent and thriving
members of our community.”

Aging in Place+Gallivant is a non-profit 501 (c) 3
