Once again the Darien Democratic Town Committee’s Lobster Bake was a huge success. Now in its 26th year, the annual event drew record crowds who were welcomed by the music of the award-winning Darien Jazz Combo, which featured some very talented jazz artists.
Honored Guests included Governor Dannel Malloy, Congressman Jim Himes, Senator Richard Blumenthal, State Senator Bob Duff, State Senator Carlo Leone, Senate Candidate Susan Bysiewicz and DNC Chairperson Nancy DiNardo.
The silent auction saw bid after bid as items that were so generously donated by local businesses were in high demand. A tremendous thanks to the incredibly talented artisans Sophie Cirillo of SBC Designs, Jen St. John of Itty Bitty Bag Company, Photographic Solutions, Lisa Thoren, Nobu, Pierre Lahaussois, Suma CM, Ann Marenakos of Adelaide Fine Art of Darien, food purveyors and restaurants . , Scena, Cafe D’Azur, , , and Darien businesses Fredric & Company, Christine L. Hamilton-Hall/MD, DMD, Global Pet Foods, Hands on Pottery, Drivers Unlimited and the Stamford Marriott.
