One of the most versatile football players in Connecticut, Darien rising senior Peter Gesualdi, is also one of the best.
That's why he's been selected by MSGVarsity as one of the 30 top Connecticut players to watch this season.
In his breakout junior season, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Gesualdi was second in the state with eight interceptions, while adding 36 tackles.
Offensively, the All-FCIAC East selection led 8-2 Darien with 24 catches for 455 yards and seven touchdowns. Gesualdi also rushed for 410 yards and nine scores on 77 carries.
During the spring, the fleet-footed Gesualdi was a starter for the Blue Wave lacrosse team that finished 20-2 and captured their seventh state title in eight seasons.
A team of MSG Varsity experts selected the top 30 athletes for each region. You can keep track here of who will complete the list.
Here's a video of Gesualdi on the field.
