Proclamation of February 14 as League of Women Voters Day

First Selectwoman Jayme Stevenson presents a proclamation declaring February 14th as "League of Women Voters Day" to League President Gwen Mogenson and member Joan Davis, who authored the book "Seeds of Change", a the history of the Darien League.  

The national League is celebrating the 93rd anniversary of its founding as a "social experiment" to help newly enfranchised women exercise their responsibilities as voters, following adoption of the 19th Amendment.  

The Darien League was established in 1929.
