Darien and Rowayton artists are award-winners for the 33rd annual Community-Sponsored Awards Exhibition at the Rowayton Arts Center. They are Ben Larrabee of Darien (1st Photography); and Rowayton residents Ilana Appleby (3rd Sculpture), Michael Boll (3rd Drawings & Pastels), Pierre Lahaussois (2nd Sculpture), Lynn Stephens Massey (3rd Mixed Media), Robert Sachs (2nd Photography) and Jeannine Soper (1st Acrylic).
Other local artists in the exhibition:
- From Darien: Pat Aktin, Carol Conze, Roz Emmons, Linda George, Dana Goodfellow, Trudy Hodenfield, Yuko Ike, Madeleine Mueller, Dana Munro, Jan Raymond, Leslie Rottner, Lisa Thoren, Peter Thoren;

The winners were selected by Jeffrey Price, owner of Artists' Market in Norwalk, who said, “This exhibition is a delightful mix of traditional and non-traditional uses of each medium. There is high quality throughout the exhibition and I liked the pushing of boundaries in all media.”
The exhibition of 94 high-quality artworks in all media continues through April 29. The RAC Gallery at 145 Rowayton Avenue is open from 12:00-5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday (closed Monday). Admission is free. For information call 203-866-2744.
