Despite the snow and school closings, Darien High School's Theatre 308 has been busy rehearsing for their production of Guys and Dolls. The set crew, the orchestra pit, and the cast of 66 students spend afternoons preparing the songs, music, scenery, and acting that makes this Frank Loesser musical so marvelous for the entire family.
Mrs. Lauren Di Stefano makes her debut with 308 as the director of this highly acclaimed musical. She has been drawing on the expertise of the entire 308 community, as well as her own background in theatre, to produce an exciting and outstanding show for the audience.
Jackie Winsch, a veteran 308 senior, plays the role of Sarah (a New York missionary) and DHS senior Chris Hecq plays the part of the gambling Sky Masterson, his first role in a Darien musical! Juniors Linsay Bates and Peter Traver star as comic love interests Adelaide and Nathan Detroit.
Guys and Dolls will be performed in the DHS auditorium on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday March 21, 22, and 23 at 8:00 PM. Tickets will go on sale on-line starting March 1st; check the DHS website!
