Darien's Steven Grune Named Publisher of Allrecipes Mag

Meredith Corporation (www.meredith.com), the nation’s leading media and marketing company serving 100 million American women, announced today that Steven Grune has been named Publisher of Allrecipes magazine which will be launched later this fall. Grune will report to Vice President/Group Publisher Christine Guilfoyle, and his appointment is effective immediately.

Allrecipes magazine will be published six times per year with an initial rate base of 500,000. The December 2013 premier issue will debut in mid-November, just in time for the busy holiday cooking season.

Meredith will also be creating a regular Allrecipes magazine branded television segment that will air as part of Meredith’s nationally syndicated television program The Better Show, which currently airs in more than 160 Markets, and will air nationwide to 90 million homes on the Hallmark Channel beginning in September.

A twenty-five year veteran of the magazine media industry, Grune most recently served as VP/Group Publisher at Bonnier Corporation, where he oversaw multiple titles including Popular Science, Popular Photography and American Photo among others.

Previously, Grune had spent nearly a decade at Hearst Corporation, where he served as VP/Publisher of Country Living magazine. During his career, he has also held senior level positions with a broad range of magazines including Redbook, Midwest Living, Parents, and TV Guide among others. He began his career as an intern working for Meredith’s Better Homes and Gardens magazine.

Grune is a graduate of Denison University and holds an MBA from Rollins College and is IAB certified. He currently resides in Darien, Connecticut. He will be based in Meredith’s New York offices at 805 Third Avenue.
