Darien Volleyball - Dig Pink!

For IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Darien Girls Volleyball announces 2013 DIG PINK GAME The DHS Volleyball program will be playing in their sixth annual DIG PINK game on Friday, October 11, 2013.  This year’s match, which benefits Breast Cancer Awareness, Education and Research Funding, will be played against the Staples Wreckers of Westport. The event is a triple-header with the Freshmen teams playing at 4:00 p.m., the Junior Varsity at5:30 and the Varsity squads taking the floor at 7:00 p.m. in a key FCIAC match-up.  Tickets for the event are available at the door for a $5 contribution to the Side Out Foundation.  The Side Out Foundation was established in 2004 to unite volleyball players and coaches and to have them work toward the common goal of furthering breast cancer awareness, research, education and patient services.  Since 2008, Darien High School Volleyball has been a proud participant in the Dig Pink program.  Materials about breast cancer awareness and education will be available the evening of the match and the team will also be sponsoring a bake sale with all proceeds to be donated to the Side Out Foundation. Community members are encouraged to attend the event, wear pink, and cheer on the Blue Wave.  If you cannot attend, but would still like to make a donation, donations may be made at https://www.side-out.org/cb/campaigns/campaign/7491
