Darien YMCA Gymnastics Clinic

On Sunday, October 27th the Darien YMCA held a Gymnastics Clinic that included  gymnasts from Darien and other surrounding YMCA’s. This clinic gave Darien Y gymnasts an opportunity to get to know their neighboring gymnasts outside of a competitive environment, and allowed the coaches to exchange tips on different coaching techniques. All of the gymnasts were able to work with other coaches to improve their skills. Many other gyms do not have foam pits, so this clinic provided a great chance to try out more difficult skills in a safe manner. The 55 gymnasts and 20 coaches came from the surrounding YMCA’s of Darien, Wilton, Trumbull, Glastonbury, Meriden, Rye, and Southington.
