The FARE Walk for Food Allergy will take place in Westchester County at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle on September 28, 2013. Connecticut residents are welcome! Check-in and activities begin at 1:00 pm. The Walk ceremony starts at 2:00 pm. The FARE Walk for Food Allergy raises money for food allergy research, awareness, advocacy, and education.
Registration is free, and all walkers who raise $100 or more in donations receive a free T-shirt. Advance registration is recommended, but not required and can be completed at www.foodallergywalk.org/westchester.
This potentially life-threatening disease affects up to 15 million Americans. Last year the Westchester Walk had over 1500 walkers, who raised more than $200,000 for the cause.
This year the Walk, which includes a family fun day loaded with activities and giveaways, welcomes Lee Goldberg, from WABC-TV, as Honorary Chair and Dr. Jennifer Kim, from Mount Sinai Hospital, as Honorary Medical Chair.
Join us, and help us say FAREwell to food allergies.
