Bethpage, NY, October 2, 2013 – In recognition of the wide-ranging influence that Latinos have on our culture, Cablevision’s Power to Learn and Olympusat, Inc. are sponsoring the “Hispanic Heritage Month” essay contest for the sixth consecutive year.  The contest for middle- (grades 6 through 8) and high-school students (grades 9 through 12) provides an opportunity for students to reflect on the rich heritage of Hispanic Americans.  This year’s essay question is: “Name a Latino, past or present, with whom you would choose to spend a day and explain why.”
