Irish Music at Middlesex

Middlesex Middle School students enjoyed the sound of Irish music joyfully performed by the Shamrogues during their lunch periods on the Friday before St. Patrick's Day.  The Irish band features some local musicians including Darien High School teacher Bill Devlin who plays the flute and Middlesex crossing guard Don Cavett who plays the bag pipes and the flute.

The group performed several Irish songs for the students and shared their knowledge of the different types of Irish music.   As one could imagine, this is the busiest time of the year for the Shamrogues members as they are in high demand to perform in many schools, restaurants, and St. Patrick's day parades.
