It's Planting Time at Ox Ridge

With the arrival of spring, Ox Ridge students have started to clean and weed the garden, turn the soil, and plant vegetable seeds. It is hoped that classrooms will complete the planting phase soon and that some items will be ready to be picked by the end of this school year. Pictured here, Ox Ridge second graders Paige Flanagan, Lily Bradbury, Kate Nemec, and Kate Demark from Mrs. Stacy Johnson's class prepare the soil for new plantings. The edible garden committee is looking for family volunteers to help tend the garden over the summer break. No experience is necessary and the family volunteers get to harvest whatever is ready during the week they are on duty! Photo Credit: Stacy Johnson
