The Watermark at 3030 Park is pleased to announce that Norwalk artist Judith Lambertson will have her work featured at The Watermark at 3030 Park from October 9 through December 27.
The opening reception for her exhibit, entitled “Lambertson: A Decade of Painting 2003-2013,” will be held on Wednesday, October 9 at 2:00 p.m. at The Watermark at 3030 Park retirement community, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport/Fairfield town line. Lambertson will discuss her work during the reception, which will include light refreshments and entertainment by pianist Tony Procaccini.
Lambertson has previously been represented by Prince Street Gallery in New York City and has had three solo exhibitions with the gallery. In August 2005 one of her paintings was featured on the cover of Cape Cod Life Arts Magazine, which also included an artist profile.
For her latest Art/Place Gallery @ The Watermark exhibit, Lambertson will include studio work based on small oil paintings completed during her travels.
“Like many artists before me, travel has been my inspiration,” said Lambertson of her work. “I have spent time in parts of the country known for creative art communities, including Cranberry Isles, Maine; Ensenada and Baja, California, and Gloucester, Massachusetts. With each location I paint I strive to capture the essence of the landscape with broad areas of color and in simple forms with limited descriptive detail.”
Art/Place Gallery @ The Watermark is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call The Watermark at 3030 Park at 203-374-5611.
