Darien High School students raised $900 at the Second Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser at DHS on April 3rd.

Ceramics 1, 2, 3 and Honors Art students donated their hand-made bowls to raise money for Person-to-Person. Anyone who made a $3 to $5 donation received a sundae in one of the bowls; and the donor was asked to keep the bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world.

The Empty Bowls Project is an international grassroots effort to raise money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.

P2P says “thanks” to everyone – from the artisans to the donors – who helped make this fundraiser a success. Their generosity and commitment will help keep the P2P Emergency Food Pantry well-stocked for the benefit of the agency’s clients.
