PORTFOLIO WORKSHOP AT DARIEN ARTS CENTER

The Darien Arts Center (arts.darien.org) is now offering a portfolio workshop for serious high school students who are looking to apply to art school. “Turning Pro – Planning Your Portfolio” will provide insights and skills needed to write an effective artist statement, C.V. and personal biography. Students will make their own art postcards, promotional materials and will learn how to photograph their work. They will also meet working artists and designers and view their portfolios. The workshop will introduce students to curators, active exhibiting artists and graphic designers for an informative question and answer session, and will expose them to the experience of working in a gallery. “Turning Pro – Planning Your Portfolio” will take place on Mondays from 7-9pm on November 18, November 25, and December 9, 2013.
