Tedd Arnold, author and illustrator, visits Royle Elementary

Children at Royle Elementary School were very lucky on Monday to enjoy a visit by celebrated author and illustrator Tedd Arnold, who is best known for his series of Fly Guy books.

The children watched the illustrator draw a few of his most recognizable characters, including Fly Guy, as he entertained them with stories of how he comes up with his original ideas.

An enjoyable morning gave the children an opportunity to understand the process behind the making of a picture book, meet a favorite writer and get encouragement for their own projects.

Tedd Arnold finished by offering the children some great advice:

‘Keep drawing because you’ll get better at drawing. Keep writing because you’ll get better at writing. And keep reading because you’ll get better at everything!’
