Tickets for Darien EMS-Post 53 Annual Food Fair On Sale At Select Locations Around Town

Avoid Lines; Get Right to the Fun!

Darien, CT (May 1, 2013) – Darien EMS-Post 53 today announced that it is pre-selling admission tickets for its annual Memorial Day Food Fair at select locations around town between now and the event date (Monday, May 27th). Tickets will be sold outside some 15 retail and non-retail locations some weekdays, evenings and weekends until the 27th.

“We want to make tickets available to those who would like to avoid long lines and get to the fun as quickly as possible after the parade,” said Gayle Close, co-chair of ticket sales for the Post 53 Food Fair. “To make that possible, we’ve worked with the Town and many local retailers who have kindly allowed us to set up ticket sales outside their stores. We thank them for their support.”

Tickets will sell for $5.00 each and will be sold by young adult Post members at locations such as Palmers, Tilley Pond Regatta, Dunkin Donuts, Jake’s Place, Uncle’s Deli, Stop & Shop, Darien Sport Shop, McGuane Field Snack Bar, Wild Birds Unlimited, Michael Joseph’s, Glen Liquors, Jimmy’s Southside Tavern, and the Gardener’s Center at a varying schedule.

Ticket sales also gives people from town a chance to talk with Post members to learn more about the services provided, get your blood pressure checked, pick up some information and discuss the latest in emergency services.

Founded in 1970, Post 53 provides emergency medical services to the Darien community at the highest level of excellence, using Darien High School students and adult volunteers.
