Whitney Grumhaus to Perform at Grove Street Plaza this Friday, July 25th

The Darien Summer Nights concert series welcomes Whit Grumhaus of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to Darien on Friday, July 26.  The concert begins at 6 pm and ends at 9 pm.

Whit Grumhaus is an independent singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Chapel Hill North Carolina. His folk-rock styling leans heavily on the music of U2, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan. Whit started his musical journey as a drummer in the school orchestra, but quickly moved to the guitar and has been frantically trying to achieve his requisite 10,000 hours behind the wheel ever since. He has played with Donovan and James Taylor. Whit’s first solo LP record of eleven original songs, “Been Here Before,” was recorded and produced by Chris Stamey of the dB’s and released in March of 2012. He also can be found performing around the Southeast with his band Coffee.

The concert is free-of-charge, sponsored by Grove Street Plaza and Baywater Properties.  For information on the concert series, visit www.dariensummernights.com.   The Melting Pot bar will be open and serving drinks in Grove Street Plaza.  Come and enjoy a great concert by a talented musician, then have dinner with family and friends afterwards in one of Darien's fine restaurants.
