Cancelled: Scarlett Lewis at DCA this A.M. Returns Feb. 25

Scarlett Lewis' appearance at the Darien Community Association, originally scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday (today) has been cancelled due to the weather.

Lewis, a Darien native and the mother of a child victim in the Sandy Hook shootings, was to be interviewed about Woodruff's book, Nurturing, Healing Love. The event was scheduled for 11 a.m.

The DCA posted this announcement on Darien Patch:

"Oh snow... Scarlett can't make it from Newtown for this morning's event. So today's event is cancelled and we'll see Scarlett on the snow date of February 25th at 11:00 a.m."

The original event notice gave this information (click here for more information) on Lewis and her appearance at the DCA:

"Lee Woodruff will interview author and Darien native Scarlett Lewis at the Darien Community Association (DCA) on Tuesday, January 21st at 11:00am.

"Scarlett Lewis joins us to talk about her book Nurturing, Healing, Love. It chronicles her life in the months after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting which took the life of her six year old child, Jesse."
