YWCA Parent Awareness: GETTING YOUR TEENS TO WANT TO TALK TO YOU

Navigating the teenage years can be very tricky. Have you noticed that one moment your teen is laughing and the next moment you are lucky if they will even utter one word to you? Barbara Greenberg, Ph.D., clinical psychologist with Silver Hill Hospital and author of “Teenage as a Second Language – A Parent’s Guide to Becoming Bilingual” will help you interpret your teens' verbal and nonverbal behavior and communicate with them in a way that makes you want to talk to them. With her groundbreaking strategies, she’ll offer advice to maintain good communication, healthy interaction, and a strong connection to your teen, no matter how rocky the road becomes.
This program is provided free of charge.  Questions may be addressed to parentawareness@ywcadariennorwalk.org.
