Author Frank Delaney on Romance and Espionage

Romance and espionage in Ireland and Europe during World War II is the theme of the DCA Book Group’s “Meet the Author” program on Tuesday, March 27 when Frank Delaney will discuss his latest novel, “The Matchmaker of Kenmore.”

The presentation, open to the public, will start at 10:30 followed by a luncheon.   “The Matchmaker of Kenmore” is a story of Ben MacCarthy, an aficionado of Irish folklore during the dramatic times of World War II.

Traveling to Ireland, Ben meets Kate Begley who is known as the Matchmaker of Kenmore. Ben is immediately captivated by Miss Begley and a powerful friendship is forged, but when Charles Miller, an American military intelligence officer, arrives on the scene, Miss Begley becomes infatuated and works on making a match for herself.
