Carol Anshaw at Barrett Bookstore

Top Indie-Next author Carol Anshaw will discuss her novel, Carry the One, at Barrett Bookstore. In the New York Times, Michiko Kakutani said "Carol Anshaw’s beautifully observed new novel, “Carry the One,” begins with a terrible accident in the summer of 1983...[Carol Anshaw] intimately dissects how one event or choice can alter the trajectory of a life, how a fork in the road can lead to wholly unexpected and divergent outcomes... Though the novel grapples eloquently with the many sadnesses of life — guilt and grief and disappointment — it does so with lyricism and humor. It captures the variegated texture of the characters’ daily routines while conjuring the disparate worlds they traverse."

Following the talk there will be a Q&A and book-signing.

Refreshments will be served
