Community Block Party

Don't miss the fun as hundreds of Stepping Stones members, friends, community leaders, and children from all over Fairfield County come together for the first ever Stepping Stones Community Block Party!

The event is a celebration created as part of the Count me in! Community Campaign and marks the museum's temporary closing to renovate, re-decorate and install the new and expanding galleries and exhibits that are part of the 22,000 square-foot expansion project opening on November 20, 2010.

Sing and dance to local entertainment. Enjoy great food from local eateries such as Chef Jeff of Jeff's Cuisine and Bull's Head Cafe. Wow the kids with fun interactive exhibits and activities — Touch A Truck, games, a Super Fun Inflatable Company monster truck bouncer, and a 25 foot long super slide. Create a unique sculpture from recycled products, add your stitch into the Stepping Stones 10th Birthday quilt with Lizzy Rockwell and the Peace by Piece Community quilters and get your car washed the eco-friendly way — no water!
