Darien Library Story SLAM! Personal Stories of City Experiences

On Wednesday, August 4 at 7 p.m., Darien Library will host its first-ever Story SLAM, a special storytelling event for adults. The theme for the evening's stories will be "Personal Stories of City Experiences." The Story SLAM is part of the Library's 2010 Adult Summer Reading Program, "Summer in the City."

At the Story SLAM, the microphone will be open to anyone with a story to tell on the evening's theme. Participants will each have 5 minutes in front of the microphone to tell their prepared, original, personal stories. Stories should be spontaneous and natural, and may be funny, uproarious, scary, sad, poignant, or silly.

Darien Library is located at 1441 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820. For more information, visit darienlibrary.org or call 203-655-1234.
