During the past several months, four intrepid Darien women – also known as the producers of the Darien Arts Center’s (DAC) fundraiser, Darien’s Got Talent – have been working nonstop with their team of stalwart volunteers to give local talent a new opportunity to exhibit their skills and win fabulous prizes.
In a two day event, over 75 exceptional acts auditioned before a panel of distinguished judges, (Toni DeCarlo, Leo B.Meyer, Matthew Porretta, Cristina Spinei and Ted Yudain) to become one of 15 finalists in a live, finals competition to be held at the Darien Town Hall auditorium on Saturday, June 30, at 7 p.m. The careful selection of the talent guarantees that this is a show not to be missed!
The DAC “Darien’s Got Talent” is a fundraising event for the nonprofit organization, which offers educational programming in dance, visual arts, theatre and music, as well as productions from its performing arts wing, The Darien Players and Cabaret Theatre. Proceeds from the event, as well as private donations, tuition fees and ticket sales, go toward funding these creative endeavors and help to continue the ongoing efforts of the DAC.
Tickets for the live finals performance are: $35 adults; $25 children (12 and under); $75 (premium seating, which includes an après theatre champagne reception following the show). They may be purchased online at arts.darien.org. For more information, call 203 655 8683.
