DCA 'Spring in the Garden' Cocktail Party

DCA Hosts ‘Spring In The Garden’ Cocktail Party to benefit Local Scholarships

On Saturday, April 28th from 5:30pm the DCA invites the public to join in celebrating nature’s beauty ‘at the prettiest time in the prettiest place’ – the formal garden of the DCA Meadowlands.

Attendees are encouraged to come early and stay late to enjoy the open bar, live music & dancing, and the very best passed hors d'oeuvres from Marcia Selden Catering, voted “Best Caterer” 2011 by Moffly Media’s Best of the Gold Coast.

Tickets are $50.00 for the evening, with net proceeds directly benefitting the DCA Scholarship program, supporting Darien youth.

The party will be held within the DCA’s formal garden.  This private space was designed by one of the first female American Landscape Architects Ellen Biddle Shipman.  The gardens have been the scene of countless Darien weddings over the last 50+ years, and is still a popular venue today for weddings, garden parties and other events.

The ‘Spring in the Garden’ Cocktail Party is the final of three key events in the DCA’s ‘Spring in the Garden’ week.  The DCA Duo Piano group holds their ‘Pianorama!’ concert on Sunday April 22nd at 4:00pm, to kick off the week.  Next the annual DCA Spring Boutique begins with a wine tasting preview party on April 25 from 5:30-8:30pm, followed by pure boutique shopping from April 26 & 27 from 9am-4pm.  Held in the historic Meadowlands property, the boutique offers an intimate gift-buying experience, with no fee for admittance.

Reserve tickets by contacting the DCA at (203) 655-9050 or dca1923@optonline.net. All events will be held at the DCA, 274 Middlesex Road in Darien.  The DCA provides a broad array of educational, cultural, and social programs in an historic setting and enriches the community through philanthropy and outreach.
