The Music Department of Darien Public Schools will hold an All-Town Orchestra Festival on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. and also 8:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.
The two concerts will feature the talents of approximately 400 string students in grades 4-12 representing each of the five elementary schools, Middlesex Middle School and Darien High. Each orchestra will perform separately and then join together to for a festival finale arrangement of the 1812 Overture featuring all 400 string students.
Admission is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available from all school orchestra directors or by calling the District Music Office at (203) 655-3981, ext. 2250. The snow date for this event is Friday, Feb. 26.
