Library hosts gift-giving advice session

DARIEN, CT — Darien Library staff members will be on hand this holiday season to help guide patrons on gift purchases, during the annual “Holiday Helpers” program. The program will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the Library’s Main Street.

Last week, the Library released its list of top 10 non-fiction books of the year, with The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot taking the top spot.

During the Dec. 7 session, librarians will have recommendations ready for the best books, DVDs, games and technology for this year’s holiday season. The recommendations will cover all age groups from children through adults, and presenters will provide handouts to attendees for note-taking purposes.
