Weekend Calendar, Aug. 5-7: Comic Books, Otters, and a Puppet Parade

Rocket Science Workshop

  • Where: Stepping Stones Museum for Children, 303 West Ave., Norwalk
  • When: Friday, Aug. 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Why go: Take your budding astronaut to the children's museum for a class on rocket building. Instructors will also be on hand to explain the secrets of gravity, force, and motion.
  • Price: Free with museum admission, which is $14 for adults and children and $10 for seniors.

  • Why go: See comic book art from the designers who worked for DC, Marvel, and Archie comics. The exhibit also features a mural depicting the history of America’s most famous comic characters.

  • Why go: Learn about the Stamford Museum's otters (and watch them chow down) at this twice-weekly event, back by popular demand.

SoNo Arts Celebration Puppet Parade
