- When: Friday, July 22 at 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24 at 4:00 p.m..
- Why go: Pizza fritta, pasta, sausage and peppers, and seafood — need we say more? The annual festival will also feature children's rides, live music, and a raffle.
- Price: Free

- When: Friday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m.
- Why go: Learn all about Saturn and check out this ringed beauty with the museum's 22-inch telescope.
- Price: $3 for adults, $2 for children 5 through 17. Free for members of the Stamford Museum.
Darien Library Summer Book Sale
- Where: , 1441 Post Rd., Darien
- When: Saturday, July 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Why go: Want to brighten up your bookshelf without spending a fortune? Drop by the Darien Library Summer Book Sale. Hardcover books will set you back $1, DVDs $5, and paperbacks just 25¢. We recommend that you go early to get first pick.
- Price: Free

- Where: Stepping Stones Museum for Children, 303 West Ave., Norwalk
- When: Saturday, July 23 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
- Why go: Hear jazz saxophonist and Connecticut resident Mike Casey perform a playful, kid-friendly set as part of the museum's Around the World performance series.
- Price: Free with museum admission ($14 for adults and children, $10 for seniors)
- Where: 1 Barnum Dyke, Bridgeport
- When: Sunday, July 24 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
- Why go: Want to create a new generation of deadheads? Then stop by family day at the Gathering of the Vibes festival. There will be rides, face painting, life-sized puppets, and — of course — plenty of music.
- Price: $20 per person for Connecticut residents; chlidren under 15 are free
