Halloween Idea's on how to upscale your decorating with Flowers

As the calendar turns from September to October, we start to see Tombstones, scarecrows, spider webs, ghosts and skeletons start to pop up in our neighborhoods. At home, we put out the same, tired glass or plastic pumpkins get scattered in the kitchen, living room and dining room or – eek! -  the dreaded bowls of candy corn filled to the brim (but not for long!) on some end table or in the entry way of your home.

Fall or Halloween flowers can be a tasteful alternative to the traditional Halloween decor.

To help you with that transition, we're sharing a couple of easy Fall or Halloween Flower arrangements you can create to your style and taste -- without losing the Halloween tradition.

1.    Use a cylinder vase big enough that you can insert another smaller vase inside it. Insert the smaller vase inside the bigger one and fill the bigger vase with small candy(candy corn, Hershey kisses, M&M's etc.) hiding the smaller vase inside. Fill the smaller vase with water and add a few flowers, like fall colored daisies, bright orange Gerbera daisy or some fall color Alstromeria. (If you’d like a more upscale look, use a rose or a nice lily.)  You can also add some greens and filler flower to get fancy. (And if you’re really inspired, be really creative and paint some baby's breath with black paint and use that as a filler flower for a great effect).

2.    Take a few small bud vases and fill them with some of the Fall Flowers mentioned in #1 above to replace some of your plastic or glass pumpkins around the house. Not only will this add some style to your decor, but just having fresh flowers in your home help lift your spirits, try it you'll like it!

3.    If you’re entertaining or would just like to upscale your Fall or Halloween Flowers, a nice size pumpkin with a big beautiful arrangement inside it makes a great centerpiece for your dining room table.  Or in your entryway use this arrangement to make a good first impression.
