First County Bank Foundation Distributes Grants to Darien Non-profits
The Foundation has provided a grant of $2,500 to the Community Fund of Darien; $5,000 to Person-to-Person; $5,000 to the Tiny Miracles Foundation; and $5,000 to the Darien Firefighters Foundation, according to a press release.
The recently distributed a total of $41,500 in grants to nine nonprofits in Darien and New Canaan.

In New Canaan it has provided a grant of $5,000 for Arts for Healing; $7,500 for Getabout; $7,500 for the Horizons Student Enrichment Program at NCCS; $2,500 for the New Canaan Community Foundation; and $1,500 to the New Canaan Group Home.

In 2011, the Foundation awarded 108 grants totaling more than $591,000, breaking its record for 2010. Since its inception in 2001 it has awarded 589 individual grants totaling more than $4.8 million.
