Try out one of the new restaurants in town (or one you haven't been to) or visit your favorites for bargains during Darien Restaurant Week, which runs today through Friday at a dozen eateries in town.
You can save even more this week by combining shopping and dining: Restaurant week takes place during "Darien Indoor Sidewalk Sales" week, which runs through Saturday.
"We're encouraging people to dine and shop or shp and dine," said Carol Wilder-Tamme, president of the Darien Chamber of Commerce, which organized both bargain weeks. This is the third Darien Restaurant Week, she said.
Prix-fixe lunch menus range from $10.12 to $15.12 for lunch and from $20.12 to $30.12 for dinner. Some additional specials at restaurants can cost even less.
These are the 12 restaurants participating this week. The newest restaurants are Cesco's Trattoria, which opened around Christmas, and Darien Social, which opened last week:
