CT Business Taxpayers Can Now File by Phone
Department of Revenue Services (DRS) Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan today [Thursday] announced a toll-free filing option for some business taxpayers.
The new number will give small businesses without computer access a free way to meet the new electronic filing and payment requirement for some business taxes.
Said Commissioner Sullivan, “While DRS has embraced the Internet and electronic filing technologies, we know that not everyone has dipped their toes into the ocean of cyberspace. For new users, it can seem pretty scary.
“So, even though we can’t be certain every business has a computer, or is comfortable filing over the Internet, we know they all have a telephone. Giving these small business taxpayers a secure, free way of filing these taxes is the least we can do.”
