As a news release from the Food Allergy Initiative notes, Dr. Sampson is an expert and director of the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute at New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Center. He will be discussing potential new therapies that could prevent life-threatening allergic reactions.
FAI of Connecticut will present its leadership award during the event. The award honors "a member of the community who exemplifies best practices in managing food allergies, and who has gone above and beyond in keeping food-allergic children safe," the release states.
