Susan Cator will join the Darien Chamber of Commerce as Executive Director on May 5th.  Susan will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Chamber.  The search committee has done a wonderful job and Susan will be a great addition to the Chamber.

Come to TD Bank~Darien, The Title Sponsor for the Darien Going for Green Business Mixer on Wednesday April 23rd to meet Susan and welcome her to our team!

“Susan has a remarkable background in media and marketing to the Darien Community.  In her own business, she has had her hands on the pulse of both the business and residential sides of the Town, commented John Lundeen, a member of the Darien Chamber Executive Board and Search Committee.

Susan Cator said, “It’s an exciting time for Darien! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the Darien business community as the Director of the Darien Chamber of Commerce.

I have lived in a small Philadelphia town where everyone knew each other, the large city of Manhattan, as far south as New Orleans and as far west as Seattle…but have lived the longest here in Darien. Having lived here for 22 years, I think our town looks the best it ever has! We now have more restaurants with terrific fare and service, larger retailers and smaller boutiques, we have small courtyards to gather during the day or for a concert at night, and we still have our own movie theatre! It wasn’t like this when I moved here! Our residents are enjoying themselves locally and those from other towns are coming here! Our housing market is vital with more and more young families moving to Darien! Our YMCA, DCA, YWCA-Newcomers, Library, Weed Beach, DAC, Darien Historical Society and others have expanded their programs to service the younger and older members of our community.

It is a wonderful community with so many dedicated, generous, creative and caring individuals. My own work experience has been in advertising, marketing, promotion and custom publishing—all devoted to helping people do something to improve their home and family life. Recently, I have enjoyed welcoming new residents to Darien through New Neighbors—a welcoming marketing service—which helps families get settled in our community as they start a new chapter here in Darien. It is a pleasure to share the many wonderful things about Darien with these new families.

I look forward to working with each and every member of the Chamber!”

Please bring a hand for of business cards, join in the networking and meet Susan April 23rd.  Registration is required and can be completed through the online link.
