Thanks to all at Cancer Support Community Softball Charity Event

Many thanks to all!

More than 100 softball players, fans, volunteer umpires and family members from across Connecticut came together in Fairfield on June 29 to help raise funds to open the first Cancer Support Community in southern Connecticut.  Funds raised at the “CSC Co-Ed Softball Tournament” will be used to offer free cancer support and education for patients and their families living with cancer.

The tournament-- at Tom Haydon Field and Sherman School Field in Fairfield—featured five co-ed teams from across Connecticut playing in a round robin format.  Orange Ale House went 4-0 to take the championship.  Seporah’s Sluggers from Meriden took the runner-up trophy at 3-1.  The champion and runner-up teams were separated only by their head-to-head game won 4-3 by Orange Ale House in extra innings.
