A Sigh of Relief, Starbucks Is Open

Starbucks, Darien has reopened its doors after being closed for weeks due to interior renovations.

The bad news: the parking lot hasn't changed.  The good news: Starbucks, Darien has reopened its doors after being closed down for what felt like a few weeks due to interior renovations.

You can take a breath now.

While the structure itself hasn't changed, the inside setup has changed quite a bit. The floor has become a rustic wood, the little station for milk and sugar has been moved and all of the shop's furniture has been upgraded. A theme of character defined by wood paneling and shelves of glass jars containing coffee beans is the most noticeable difference. In short, it is a refined sense of nostalgia complemented by the convenience of sleeker machines cranking out latte after latte that gets you hooked.

You walk into this refurbished coffee shop and you want to pick up a paper and stay a while.  Perhaps this upgrade will catch the eye of those who quickly dart in and out for their morning fix.  Are you like that?  Are you in it for the experience? Isn't that part of a coffee shop's definition: a place for coffee, but more importantly for conversation?

Whatever your habit, whatever you style, Starbucks is open for business...just in time for the festivities of Memorial Day.  Cha-ching.

Check out my pics of the upgrade.

yes, we LOVE Glen Gate. Worth every penny and they always come quickly if something is not workingRead More (even on memorial day last year!!) Their staff is so kind, respectful and polite, especially with my children. I like them so much I always remember them at Christmas.
