Darien, CT. January 27, 2014 – The Shoot-out for Team Connecticut is held each year to determine the Connecticut High School skiers who compete in the Northeast regional competition.
Several members of the Darien High School Ski Team were nominated to participate in the Giant Slalom event which is the first step in the Shoot-out for Team Connecticut. The top 30 girls and top 30 boys in the Giant Slalom event qualify to participate in the Slalom event to be held on February 4.
The DHS boys nominated to compete and their finishing places in the Giant Slalom event were Peter Del Col (15) and Brooks Daley (35).

The girls nominated to compete and their finishing places in the Giant Slalom event were Katharine Graham (3), Kyla Pech (10), Taylor Hart (17), and Maggie Skeats (38).
The Giant Slalom event was held on January 27 at Mt. Southington Ski Area. Peter Del Col, Katharine Graham, Kyla Pech and Taylor Hart qualified to move on to the Slalom competition to be held on February 4 at Mt. Southington.
