An ongoing dispute between some apartment building tenants at 104 West Ave., their landlord and a 48-year-old tenant, resulted in the 48-year-old's  arrest on Monday, March 19, on a breach-of-peace charge.

Captain Frederick W. Komm, a spokesman for Darien Police, gave the following account in a news release:

A woman told police that shortly before 7:40 p.m., as the man was entering a woman's apartment, he became "verbally aggressive" toward her. The woman said she did not understand why he appeared to be angry with her.

When another tenant came out to see what was happening, the man also yelled at her, and that tenant became concerned for her safety, she told police.

Police came to the apartment building and later arrested the man. He was released on a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear this Thursday in state Superior Court in Stamford.
