Aux Délices Owner Demos Buttermilk Chicken on Today Show

owner and chef Debra Ponzek made an appearance Thursday morning on NBC's Today Show, where she demoed a quick-and-easy buttermilk grilled chicken recipe.

Ponzek told host Savannah Guthrie that the dish — seasoned with garlic, coriander, cumin, paprika, and chili powder — is good for minimizing the time spent over the grill.

"On days like this, when it's super hot, you don't want to be grilling out there in the 100-degree heat," Ponzek said. "You want to have all your work done so you can enjoy your company, sit back, and relax and have all the work done for you ahead of time."

Ponzek recommended pairing the dish with a salad of farro, grilled asparagus, and corn and finishing off the meal with a nectarine and blackberry crisp.

Ponzek's Aux Délices — which has locations in Darien, Greenwich, and Riverside — offers a mix of catering, gourmet takeout, and cooking classes.
