Bill Clinton to Visit Darien Friday at Noon [Update]

Former President Bill Clinton to sign copies of his new book at Barrett Bookstore in Darien starting at 12 noon Friday.

Update 10:17 a.m., Friday:

The Barrett's Bookstore website says: "President Bill Clinton will be at the store from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, to sign copies of his new book, 'Back to Work.'"

Tickets to the book signing have sold out. If you're one of those who got a voucher, don't lose it, because it won't be replaced.

"All bags and other personal items, including phones, cameras and electronic devices, must be left at the bag-check table before entering the store," the website says. "We recommend that you bring as few items as possible, since they will all need to be checked. President Clinton will sign one book per person. He will not have time to add personal messages or sign copies of his previous books or other items. "

Former President Bill Clinton will reportedly be signing copies of his new book, "Back to Work: Why We Need Smart Government for a Strong Economy," from 12 noon to 2 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 9, at the on Heights Road.

A report in the Darien News said store events coordinator Rosanna Nissen had confirmed Clinton's appearance in an email. The bookstore is expected to release more information about Clinton’s visit later today.
