Blogspot.com: New M8 Rail Cars Late

Midst budget woes, the M8 rail-car timeline continues to slip, leaving CDOT's reputation "in tatters." From his blog, "Talking Transportation," Jim Cameron has the story.

“When are the new rail cars coming?” Jim Cameron, Chairman of the CT Metro-North Rail Commuter Council, says he hears the question almost every day. Cameron’s answer: “Later than we’d thought.”

The new M8 rail cars, anticipated by commuters to be running the rails late this year, won’t be in service until 2010, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced; and that assumes the four to six month testing period runs without glitch.
