  • Summer Nights: continues tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Grove Street Plaza. On the schedule: Darien's Christina Demaio (6-7:30 p.m.) and Sarah McGowan (7:30-9 p.m.).
  • The Company Men: The hosts a free screening at 7:30 p.m. of The Company Men. The 2010 film stars Ben Affleck, Chris Cooper, Kevin Costner, and Tommy Lee Jones.
  • We've Got Game: Ages 7 and up can also drop by the library at 4:15 p.m. for a chance to play Nintendo Wii on the big screen. Kids are encouraged to bring their own handhelds.

  • Tax Day: Annual motor vehicle taxes and semi-annual real estate taxes are due in Darien today. According to the Tax Collector's Office, taxes must be paid within one month of the due date to avoid penalty interest. Delinquent taxes are subject to interest at the rate of 18 percent per year (1.5 percent per month, $2 minimum) — or any part thereof — from the original due date of the tax.
